  • ADD A DASH OF OMEGA-3-FATTY ACIDS.
  • FITNESS AND EXERCISE.
  • RIGHT BREATHING.
  • DESTRESS.

1.Making your food choices ANTIOXIDANT RICH .

Don't wait until you age—change the way you look at life and start your path to better health today!

But what are antioxidants? Why are they so good for anti-aging?

LOADED WITH ANTIOXIDANTS

I will explain what are antioxidants.

One half of this apple was sprinkled with lemon juice and the other was not.

While the lemony half remains new and crisp-looking, the untreated half becomes brown and shriveled because of exposure to oxygen, also called oxidation.

"The same thing happens to our skin, to our heart, to our eyes."

"All of our bodies need to have the antioxidants."

As their name implies, antioxidants do to your body what the lemon juice does to an apple—help prevent the damage caused by oxygen exposure.
Like lemon there are number  of foods which are rich in ANTIOXIDANTS and help us fight ageing.

Antioxidants are natural substances that exist as vitamins, minerals and other compounds in foods. They are believed to help protect live cells by fighting free radicals, substances that harm the body when left unchecked. Free radicals are formed by environmental contaminats like cigarette smoking, air pollutants, radiations, alcohol without adequate amount of antioxidants. These free radicals travel throughout the body damaging cells.

Other good anti-aging foods include sweet potatoes, broccoli and tomatoes. "[When eating] tomatoes, heat them up a little bit and put a little oil in them. It makes it easier to absorb the lycopene."  "Lycopene is another antioxidant, but it has additional benefits as well, which are particularly valuable for the heart."
One of the most talked about pieces of dietary news to arise in recent years is that red wine is good for your health.  Part of the reason of its popularity is the alcohol and part is resveratrol, a powerful antioxidant that comes from the skins of grapes. Vintners add the grape skins back to make red wine, but they don't do the same process for white wine—so white wine has no resveratrol benefit.
Spices like turmeric, cinnamon, ajwain, coriander have numerous antioxidising chemicals.

LOAD YOUR DIET WITH ARTILLARY OF FIBER

One key to staying young is to keep your intestines healthy and bowels regular. This takes plenty of fiber—about 25 grams a day. That's about two and a half times more than the average individual eats a day.

Fiber works by keeping all the nutrients you eat in your intestines and releases them as needed. So how can you increase your intake?

Eat more fruits, vegetables and foods rich in whole grains.

ADD A DASH OF OMEGA-3-FATTY ACIDS and OLIVE OIL

Another way to stay young  is to add omega-3 fatty acids.

If you're relying on flax seed for your omega-3s, you most likely need to roast or grind the seeds to release the oils. If you just eat them, you'd need to really chew them with your teeth, which is difficult to do. Other good sources include walnuts and hemp seeds.
A crucial part of any well-rounded diet includes one or two tablespoons of olive oil a day in foods like salad dressing.

One thing to keep in mind about olive oil is that you should not fry foods in it. "If you take a healthy fat and you fry it—if it reaches its smoking point—then you actually are oxidizing it says Nutritionist Uma Gupta "When you oxidize it, you actually damage the fats, so you lose a lot of the benefit "says Uma.

Rather than putting the oil in the pan and heating it, a better method is to put the food in the oil first and then add it to a heated pan. "That's a wonderful way of reducing the amount of oxidation that occurs," says Uma.

EXERCISE

Regular exercise keeps your body toned and shaves off good wrinkles from your shriveled skin. The merits of exercise are innumerable.

It improves your mood by stimulating various brain chemicals ,which may leave you feeling happier and more relaxed. You also feel more confident and more expressive. It may help in releasing pent up stress and thus rejuvenating you.

Exercise is sometimes the key to better sleep. Regular exercise can help you fall asleep faster and deepen your sleep. This further enhances your concentration and productivity.

Exercise delivers oxygen and nutrients to your tissues. In fact, regular exercise helps your entire cardiovascular system — the circulation of blood through your heart and blood vessels — work more efficiently. Big deal? You bet! When your heart and lungs work more efficiently, you'll have more energy to do the things you enjoy and feel relaxed all the time.

BREATH RIGHT AND DESTRESS

Longevity and health of our mind and body directly depends upon the way we breath.  Infact breath is the link between mind and body. Any bodily stress is immediately reflected in the way we do shallow breathing .Further the immune system responds instantly to any change in breathing because it signals a threat. Shallow, rapid gasps — the "hyperventilating" stress response — sends the immune system into overdrive.

To set the breathing tone right and to destress follow this simple breathing exercise to REJUVENATE and to heal you.

  • Be aware of your breathing. Notice the sensation of the breath. Feel the air moving in and out of your body. Notice how the chest and abdomen expand and contract slightly with the in- and out-breath. One conscious breath is enough to make some space where before there was the uninterrupted succession of one thought after another.
  • Take two or three conscious breaths. Now see if you can detect a subtle sense of aliveness that pervades your entire inner body. Can you feel your body from within, so to speak? Sense briefly specific parts of your body. Feel your hands, then your arms, feet and legs. Can you feel your abdomen, chest, neck and head? What about your lips? Is there life in them? Then become aware again of the inner body as a whole.

Now you are completely relaxed and destressed .
